NDB steps forward with digital banking and vKYC

National Development Bank (NDB) PLC is going to be the first bank in Sri Lanka to begin with  vKYC ( video- Know-Your-Customer), a digital platform to meet the customer via video conferencing.

 

The platform is buit by OneConnect Financial Technology Co., Ltd (OneConnect, NYSE:OCFT) and is implemented by Axion Solutions, an international software solution partner.

 

With this advanced digital platform, NDB will become the first in Sri Lanka to introduce AI based vKYC making the customer more convenient at performing several banking affairs such as opening bank accounts, applying for loans and credit cards safely from anywhere they reside.It will be a big benefit to all who involve in banking affairs, to carry  out their work uninterruptedly even amidst this Covid 19 pandemic.
