Club dancer nabbed with Kush at BIA

A 32-year-old club dancer who attempted to smuggle a stock of Kush worth Rs. 500 million into the country was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) yesterday by the officers of the Police Narcotics Division.

 

Following investigations by the Narcotics Division officials, the stock of Kush was found concealed inside his luggage.

 

The suspect had attempted to smuggle the Kush weighing 5 kg (278g), packed in 36 parcels.

 

He arrived at the airport on AirAsia flight FD-140 from Bangkok, Thailand. 

 

The Police Narcotics Bureau is conducting investigations into the incident.
